ENGIE recently hosted its second educational visit to the Kerian Solar installation in Malaysia, reaffirming its commitment to fostering a positive learning culture and promoting awareness of renewable energy solutions.


On 9 June 2024, 28 final-year students and a lecturer from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) participated in an immersive learning experience at the 100 MW solar farm, a landmark project commissioned under the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) initiatives.


During this visit, students were provided with hands-on knowledge about various components of utility-scale solar energy, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, pyranometers, SCADA Monitoring systems, and transmission lines. The event was orchestrated by ENGIE's dedicated O&M team at Kerian Solar, who, alongside their partners, shared invaluable insights and expertise, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practice.
